The scheme aims to promote physical fitness, adventure awareness, and confidence-building among children through a 6-day rock climbing adventure course for 100 children aged 9 to 12 years, organized at Mount Abu/ Junagadh Center.

About This Scheme

The scheme “Rock Climbing Adventure Training Course” by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat aims to develop a spirit of adventure, encourage physical endurance, and boost confidence and discipline among children belonging to Scheduled Tribes through a structured training program. The scheme provides selected students with an opportunity to participate in a 6-day residential rock climbing adventure course conducted at either Mount Abu or Junagadh. It focuses on holistic development by engaging youth in outdoor sports activities, thereby fostering physical and mental growth.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.

The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

The applicant should be between 9 and 12 years.

The applicant must be physically fit.

Step 1: The applicant should download the prescribed format of the application form.

Step 2: All required fields in the form should be completed carefully, and copies of the necessary documents must be enclosed (self-attestation may be required).

Step 3: Submit the properly filled and signed application form, along with all attached documents, to the District Youth Development Office.

Step 4: Ensure to obtain a submission receipt or acknowledgment slip from the official receiving the application for future reference.
