Scheme for Providing Electric Scooters to Disabled Individuals

The “Scheme to Provide Electric Scooter to Disabled Person” is an important initiative by the Gujarat state government aimed at enhancing mobility for individuals with orthopedic disabilities. The initiative seeks to facilitate the purchase of electric scooters by providing a financial subsidy to eligible applicants. Beneficiaries can acquire the scooters through agencies sanctioned by the Gujarat Electric Distribution Company Limited (JEDA). Upon successful verification of eligibility, a financial aid of up to ₹25,000, or 50% of the total cost of the scooter and associated kit (whichever is lower), will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
