Under this scheme, the government provides a capital cost subsidy based on the category of the applicant: 15% for the general category and 20% for those classified as Below Poverty Line (BPL). This initiative aims to stimulate business creation, which is expected to contribute to a reduction in unemployment across the state.

Key Benefits

• For Projects Valued at ₹10 Lakh or More:
  • General Category: 15% subsidy (maximum ₹12,00,000)
  • BPL Category: 20% subsidy (maximum ₹18,00,000)
  • Interest subsidy: 6% for women entrepreneurs and 5% for male entrepreneurs
  • Loan guarantee fee applicable at prevailing rates for a maximum duration of 7 years.
• For Projects Under ₹10 Lakh:
  • General Category: 15% subsidy (maximum ₹1,00,000)
  • BPL/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes: 30% subsidy (maximum ₹2,00,000)
• Additional Provisions:
  • 30% of the project cost (maximum ₹3,00,000) for liberated nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes.
  • Members of Bhopal Gas victim families are eligible for an additional 20% subsidy (maximum ₹1,00,000).
  • Annual interest rates: 5% for projects of ₹10,00,000 or more and 6% for women entrepreneurs, for a maximum of 7 years (maximum ₹5,00,000 per annum).
  • For projects below ₹10,00,000, the annual interest rates are 5% and 6% for women entrepreneurs, for a maximum of 7 years (maximum ₹25,000 per annum).

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• Applicants should be aged between 18 to 45 years.
• A minimum educational qualification of 10th class is required.
• The parents of the applicant should not own any agricultural land.
• The applicant must not be a taxpayer.
