The Rajasthan Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Medical Assistance, initiated in April 1999, aims to provide financial support to individuals who are not classified as Below Poverty Line (BPL). This scheme is designed for families with an annual income of at least ₹2 lakhs, ensuring that those in need can access essential medical care.

Overview of the Scheme

This scheme was established to extend support to individuals and their dependents who face medical emergencies due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, accidents, or severe health conditions. It particularly focuses on assisting families impacted by famine, floods, excessive rainfall, and other catastrophic incidents.

Eligible beneficiaries can receive financial aid for medical treatment in recognized private hospitals as well as government facilities. The financial support is structured as follows:

• Up to 40% of treatment costs, with a maximum limit of ₹1.50 lakh for treatment in government hospitals.
• Up to 30% of treatment costs, capped at ₹90,000 for recognized private hospitals.

Key Benefits

• Financial assistance is provided via demand draft or direct bank transfer to the eligible beneficiary.
• Support for Cochlear Implant Surgery for deaf and mute children aged up to 6 years with a family income not exceeding ₹2 lakhs annually.
• Financial assistance for the treatment of Thalassemia Major, with 2% support from the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund, up to a total of ₹50.7 lakh.
• Provision of financial aid for individuals suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer, kidney disorders, and heart diseases.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must not belong to the BPL category.
• The annual income of the family should exceed ₹2 lakhs.
• The applicant must not be registered under the Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Swasthya Bima Yojana (ABMGRSBY).

Application Process

Online Application

To apply online, follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website of the Chief Minister Relief Fund Rajasthan at https://cmrf.rajasthan.gov.in/.
2. On the homepage, click on the “Apply for Medical Help” option.
3. Navigate to the new page and select the “Apply Online” option.
4. Complete the required fields, including your name, address, contact information, medical condition, and details of the treatment needed.
5. Upload all necessary documents, such as medical certificates, doctor’s reports, and treatment bills.
6. After filling in all details, click the “Submit” button.
7. Upon submission, you will receive an acknowledgment number to track your application status.

Offline Application

Alternatively, applicants can apply offline by downloading the application form from the official website. Once completed, the form should be submitted along with the required documents to the Chief Minister Relief Fund office.
